Core Process Psychotherapy

Why psychotherapy?

Most of us experience times of difficulty in our lives. Perhaps there is a particular crisis, such as bereavement, or problems in a relationship, or an unsettling change of circumstances. There may be more general feelings, like anxiety and depression. Sometimes there is just a vague sense that we are not living our lives as fully as we wish.

Psychotherapy offers you time and attention to explore these feelings. It is an opportunity to become more in touch with yourself than is normally possible amid the busyness of daily life. It can support you in finding your way through difficulties; it may also become a deeply rewarding personal journey.

Core Process Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy is a gentle but deep approach, which respects the needs of the individual. The intention is to welcome all aspects of experience - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - and to work with these in a way that is appropriate for each client. The approach is based on mindfulness, a way of paying careful attention to our experience in the present moment. This can help us to become more aware of how we are limited by our past experience and expectations, enabling us to have greater freedom and choice about how we live in the world now.
